China’s services sector gained momentum in May, recording its strongest growth in three months as business activity and customer demand improved.

According to the latest private-sector survey, the Services Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) climbed to 54.4, up from 52.6 in April, signaling a solid expansion across the industry.

The growth was supported by a rise in new orders, with companies reporting stronger demand from both domestic and international customers. Export-related business also recovered after recent softness, helping boost overall activity levels.
