China–ASEAN Trade Cooperation Deepens as Regional Integration Advances

China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) are entering a new phase of economic cooperation, reinforcing ASEAN’s role as China’s largest trading partner. 

Recent reports highlight expanding collaboration in digital economy projects, infrastructure connectivity, and supply chain integration under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).

Officials noted that both sides are accelerating upgrades to the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA 3.0), aiming to reduce trade barriers and enhance cross-border investment flows. 

Increased cooperation in green development, e-commerce, and industrial production is also supporting trade growth across Southeast Asia. 

The strengthened trade framework is expected to support continued expansion in bilateral commerce throughout 2026, offering a positive signal for regional growth and business confidence.
